Yeah, I can crop that out!

Through this process, I have learned that I can accomplish and learn new things if I take the time to do it. I have felt very frustrated through this process as well as disappointed in myself just not knowing how to do certain things. I have not known how to do things, then learned to do them which is an amazing feeling. I have been frustrated, then I experience success and that is icing on the cake for sure. I embraced the software by looking up videos of how to do certain things, I ask my friends who are really experienced in the software and also just by sitting alone and messing with the software myself. I think by doing all of this, I really got to understand and figure out what works for my designs.

The #1 advice I would give to someone learning and going through Photoshop is to not get frustrated, it only makes things worse. I believe in searching Youtube and Google is vital to success as well. My mom even got me connected with someone who is experienced in Adobe, and I learned a couple things from her… that really helped me. I think I am a visual learner and I think actually listening, looking and doing is helpful. Being in person and being able to ask questions right off the bat is great! I suggest finding someone like this that you can learn from… sort of a mentor.

I like Photoshop and all the capabilities that it has. I like being able to be successful on an app that I just started using last week! I for sure do not know all the things it can do, or the ways it works but it is a pretty app. I believe I will continue to use this app throughout my career for sure. I think I liked Photoshop the most out of all the apps I have used so far that have to do with design and such.

Okay, honestly I feel really cool being able to say, “ Yeah of course, I can Photoshop that out of a picture”, makes me feel really cool and experienced. I love being able to increase my skills and feel knowledgeable on more things digitally. I would approach the software with an open mind and with a forgiving heart, for yourself haha.

Photoshop can enhance someone’s design skills by being able to create beautiful and useful designs. I think you can learn things that you had no idea that could be done on Photoshop.

My designs that I created are different in contrast and balance, but I learned to change and reorganize while going through the process of creating.

My two favorite designs I have done so far are below:)

I still need to work on the 'call to action' aspect of the handouts, however I am working on it. One great thing about this class and my professor is that she knows the process of creation. You totally have to learn from your mistakes.

Godspeed.
